The HGK SMART was created as a result of the further development of the HGK. The HGK SMART inherited the beneficial properties of the HGK. The heat exchanger is still robust and insensitive to clogging. The boiler can still be used in an open system.
As a result of the developments, the seasonal combustion efficiency and the maximum heating output have increased further.
The gas and electricity consumption have decreased. The domestic hot water comfort has improved. A wireless thermostat receiver unit has been added to the boiler. The heat exchanger in each SMART boiler has a labyrinth design, and the heating pump has become frequency-converted.
The domestic water consumption flow switch has been replaced by a flow sensor, which starts the burner from a hot water consumption of 1.5 liters/minute. The burner output is adjusted to the desired hot water temperature and the water draw-off. The boiler also handles an underfloor heating circuit in addition to the radiator circuit without a separate mixing circuit.
